The people of the country fought with their lives to overthrow the dictatorship. But that dictatorship does not exist. Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman commented that anti-national conspiracy is going on with local and foreign lords while sitting abroad.

He made this comment by participating virtually as chief guest in the bi-annual conference of Chuadanga district BNP on Saturday.

Tariq Rahman said that the movement was being conducted under the leadership of the political party to establish people’s rights. To establish political rights, to establish the freedom that lies within people. All rights require election. The more the election is delayed, the more the conspiracy against the country will increase. I think holding elections soon is the prime responsibility of the interim government.

Acting chairman of BNP said that if the election is delayed, the health care and education facilities of the people of the country will decrease. The problems faced by everyone including the farmers will increase. All the problems of the country can be solved gradually only through an election.

He said that all the institutions of the country have been destroyed by the previous dictatorial government. If they are to be used again for the welfare of the people, the qualified representatives should be elected through the vote of the citizens. The only goal of BNP is to change the fate of the people of the country. Our aim is to move the country forward.

He also said that starting from the chief advisor, everyone in the country is talking about reforms. Really needs reform. These can be truly implemented if genuine people’s representatives are elected. Beyond this, implementation of reforms is not possible. That is why representative elections are urgently needed in the country.
