Brigadier General Mohammad Tariqul Islam, BA-4978, 31st Long Course, is a loyal and trusted ally of the notorious Major General Tariq Siddique. This officer is closely related to the fascist Awami League leader Mahbubul Alam Hanif. Even his father and father-in-law were Awami League leaders. While serving in the 2nd Fint Regiment in Chokoria, he turned his unit into an Awami League office. He is a staunch fascist supporter of the Awami League and a strong opponent of the current interim government. He remains in the army as part of the rehabilitation of Awami League loyalists and traitors.
