Mostafa Kamal Uddin, who is currently serving as the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh, has been accused of widespread irregularities and corruption. According to various sources, he has been involved in irregularities and corrupt practices for a long time in areas such as recruitment, promotions, procurement, and other administrative activities within the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In particular, there are allegations that he has exerted undue influence in exchange for large sums of money in police recruitment and promotions. Furthermore, he is accused of embezzling large amounts of money in the procurement of ships and helicopters for the Coast Guard and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), as well as being involved in irregularities in various activities of the Fire Service.
Allegations have also been raised against him regarding scandals involving women and the accumulation of illegal wealth. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has initiated an investigation against him, but no effective action has yet been taken by the government.
