Retired Major General Md. Nazrul Islam (BA-3357), 17th Long Course, is a former commander of the DGFI in Chittagong. He played a key role in suppressing the Hefazat-e-Islam movement in Chittagong. This notorious officer is one of the main figures behind various crimes, including enforced disappearances and torture methods like the “mirror room.” He is a staunch fascist and supporter of the Awami League, and strongly opposes the current interim government.
