Brigadier General Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman (retired), BA-2927, 13th Long Course, is a batchmate of Lieutenant General Akbar Hossain (retired), BA-2890, and a partner in all his wrongdoings. While serving as the commander in Chittagong, he played an active role in suppressing the Hefazat-e-Islam movement. He is one of the main figures behind crimes like abductions and torture in “Ayna Ghar” (the infamous torture centers). He is a staunch fascist supporter of the Awami League and a strong opponent of the current interim government.
