Ahmed Zobayer, Khan Mohammad Rumel, Lopa Ahmed, and their associates have wrongfully treated several journalists in the past for refusing to publish false news in favor of the Awami League. They pressured many journalists into resigning through undue pressure. Due to their type of journalism, people across the country now insult journalists, calling them brokers.

Khan Mohammad Rumel, the Assignment Editor, has been dismissed from Somoy TV. An announcement regarding this was made to the staff by the Human Resources and Administration Department of Somoy TV. The notice stated that the mentioned three colleagues will no longer be with the company moving forward.
