Charges have been filed at the International Crimes Tribunal against a total of 53 people, including journalist Swadesh Roy (Executive Editor of Daily Janakantha), for inciting murder, genocide, and violence during the anti-quota movement. Among them, 30 are journalists.
The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has frozen the bank accounts of 29 individuals, including 26 journalists, in the country. At the same time, their privately owned company bank accounts have also been suspended. According to the letter, Swadesh Roy’s name is included among those summoned.
