The current Secretary of the Public Service Commission (PSC), Abdullah Al Masud Chowdhury, has been in charge of the PSC for a long time. However, during his tenure, several allegations of irregularities and corruption related to the PSC have emerged.

Allegations of Irregularities:

  • BCS Exam: There have been allegations of question leaks and other issues regarding the BCS exams conducted under the PSC. This has led to dissatisfaction among the candidates.
  • Recruitment Process: The recruitment process by the PSC has been slow and delayed. Especially in the case of non-cadre appointments, accusations of favoritism have surfaced, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among job seekers and the public.

Allegations of Corruption:

  • Bribery: Some PSC officials have been accused of accepting bribes for recruitment exams. There have been reports of corruption where money was collected for various job exams.
