Serial No. 296: Admiral Nizam Uddin Ahmed (Retired)
He was a loyal and trusted follower of authoritarian leader Sheikh Hasina and the infamous Major General Tarique Siddique. Admiral Nizam was also known as the “godfather” of the notorious Rear Admiral Sohel.

He is widely known as “Mr. 10%” due to his extreme level of corruption. Serious allegations have been made against him involving massive corruption in Navy procurement, construction projects, and the Bhasan Char Rohingya shelter project.

His total corruption is estimated to be over 5,000 crore Bangladeshi Taka. With the help of a British-Bangladeshi man known as Mr. Mukta, he allegedly laundered huge sums of money to the United Kingdom.
