Visible Progress in Judicial Reforms and Constitutional Amendments Under Sheikh Abu Taher’s Leadership at the Ministry of Law

Sheikh Abu Taher was a senior official of the Bangladesh government, who served for a long time as the Secretary of the Ministry of Law. He worked as the Secretary of the Ministry of Law during Sheikh Hasina’s government. However, there haven’t been any widely reported controversial incidents or allegations of corruption/mismanagement related to him, and his work was mainly carried out according to the standard procedures of government administration.

During Sheikh Abu Taher’s tenure, several important steps were taken in the Ministry of Law. These included reforms in the judicial system, legal cooperation, and discussions and implementation of constitutional amendments, in which he played a significant role.
