BA-3501, Major General Mohammad Zahirul Islam, 19th Long Course, was the Log Area Commander during the time of General Aziz and Shafiuuddin, former MG, and former DGFI Director. He was a key figure involved in crimes such as extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and fake encounters. He was one of the main planners and implementers of the fraudulent national elections in 2018 and 2024. A staunch fascist supporter of the Awami League and a strong opponent of the current interim government, he is still involved in conspiracies to bring the authoritarian Sheikh Hasina back to Bangladesh. As part of rehabilitating Awami League loyalists and traitors, he remains in the army.
